The White House Correspondents’ Weekend Garden Brunch celebrated its 32nd year on April 26. The A-list event at Georgetown’s historic Beall-Washington House was co-hosted by Tammy Haddad, Kevin Sheekey, Mark and Sally Ein, David Urban, Teresa Carlson and Franco Nuschese.
The #GardenBrunch honors the freedom of the press and highlights the important work of veterans and military family organizations. This year paid tribute to the brave men and women who responded with honor and duty to the flight tragedy above Reagan National Airport. American Airlines Flight 5342 collided with an Army UH-60 Black Hawk on Jan. 29.
Celebrity guest, actor Jason Isaacs, star of “The White Lotus,” joined Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.), co-chair of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus, in presenting the Garden Brunch awards. Honorees were commended for offering dignity and compassion with the full measure of respect in their service to their community and to the families affected.
