Let’s Get Dressed! Is Allyson Burkhardt’s vision for elevating the individual’s personal style and overall appearance. Allyson has 20 years’ experience in the fashion industry. She began training under the couture designer, Luisa Beccaria, in her Milan showroom. Here she was engaged to further develop the sales and recognition of the couture designer in the US and throughout Europe and Asia.

When she returned stateside, she embarked upon a career in luxury retail. (She has a strong background in art, jewelry and antiques but always returns to her true love of fashion.) She spent ten years as Womenswear Buyer for Washington’s renowned Saks Jandel Luxury Boutique. She spent her time on the pulse of the New York & European Marketplace carefully examining Designer & Contemporary Collections as she cultivated appealing and successful merchandizing selections to enhance the Washington DC retail environment.

She had a long-term consulting role for the e-commerce platform Yes She May where she specialized in procuring and promoting independent female-founded brands from around the world, with a focus on Korea. In 2015, she began a collaboration with The Georgetowner Newspaper as Fashion Editor and Contributing Columnist. At the same time, she began a partnership with J Hilburn Custom Clothier, adding Menswear to her cache. She created her image and style agency, Let’s Get Dressed, to continues her work to develop the image and appearance of her elite clientele through wardrobe styling. Fashion truly is “putting your best look forward!”

    Wardrobe Consultation

    This is an initial style and wardrobe assessment. We will meet to review your existing wardrobe and discuss how you spend your time to determine your individual needs and preferences.

    The Closet Edit

    2–3-hour private session(s) to review the items in your closet for fit, function and condition. We will work together to understand why the items attracted and served you and how we can reinvent them or if it time to replace and upgrade.

  3. 03.

    Capsule Collection

    After our initial meeting(s) I will put together a personalized clothing capsule to take your wardrobe to the next level. This capsule will include any existing holes we have determined and can be tried together in your home as we review the items for fit and liking as we assimilate them into your existing closet.

  4. 04.

    Seasonal Maintenance

    As your wardrobe develops, we start to look ahead in the season and prepare for any special events, travel or big meetings on the calendar. I will create custom-curated looks and seasonal clothing updates based on your priorities.

  5. 05.

    Special Event Styling

    Special events call for a special look. Let’s create a fashionable look for your fabulous occasion. This service includes wardrobe, accessories and shoes, as well as custom tailoring. Hair and make-up can be coordinated upon request. Please book in advance.

    Photo Shoots

    Whether you are an individual preparing for headshots or a business highlighting a new product line. I can create the looks for each shot that showcases the agenda with style and depth.
